What I've Been Up To

So I know I've really vanished off the face of the planet for a while. Life's gotten pretty busy. Right now, I'm working as an artist for an up and coming video game company. I can't say anything about the game yet, but it's coming along well. I'm also designing some dungeons and maps for another game company. I've been doing a lot of freelance art commissions, some paid, some not. It doesn't matter much to me. I really like doing things for other people, especially tattoo designs. I've done quite a few of those lately.

I've also been having health problems again. It's nothing new, but I thought my health was stabilizing, and now that all my issues are back, I guess I can't be so hopeful. I'm hoping to start college in the fall for Social Studies Education, whether I'm in poor health or not. I've got to get back into making jewelry, too.

In other news, my laptop has a dying harddrive. It crashed on me around Christmas, I fixed it, and now it's about to die again. I hope my warrantee covers that and replaces it for me. I totally can't afford a new harddrive.

Anyway, I've beens spending a great deal of time doing artwork stuff and baking. I really hope to get back into this blogging thing, but stuff is really hectic and sort of a mess.

A Piece of Art a Day...

...Keeps the creativity coming. I think sometimes motivation is more important - and often more lacking - than inspiration. I've been doing at least one fractal a day since I began. Usually, I end up doing two or three because I get into it. I'm going to try to do at least one art piece a day from now on, whether that is a fractal, a poem, jewelry, or a drawing. After all, I had to draw every day I had art class in school, and the days I didn't quite feel like it didn't yield results that were any less artistic. The hardest part is beginning. I've sat at my computer for an hour before with a blank page, wondering what to write. When I start, though, it takes off, and that hour of trying to start was worth it. By the way, i attatched the fractal I made today. :)

Jewelry Shopping
